On the afternoon of May 22nd, the Bridge of Trade Theme Salon on the topic of Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo (YRDICIE) was held at Moller Villa, Shanghai. The event was hosted by the Publicity Department Of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and the Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai and organized by CPIT Shanghai Exhibition Co. Representatives from the Shanghai consulates of countries including South Korea, Chile, Portugal, Costa Rica, Colombia, Fiji, Panama, Venezuela, and Iran; economic and trade promotion institutions and chambers of commerce of Singapore, Japan, Russia, and Germany; as well as representatives of relevant industry associations in Shanghai attended the event.

YANG Jianrong, Chairman of the Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai, ZENG Yuan, Deputy Director of the Cultural Reform and Development Office of the Publicity Department Of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, YU Zhiqing, Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Broadcasting, Film & Television Producers Association and representatives of CPIT Shanghai Exhibition Co. made brief remarks, introducing and recommending the 2019 Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo to the attending guests.

The guests showed a keen interest in the Expo. Mr. Saraiva, the Portuguese Consul General in Shanghai commented that culture is a bridge to promote and strengthen exchanges and cooperation between two countries. He expressed that he would bring back and share information about the Expo, giving it his active support. The Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai confirmed that South Korea would participate in the Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo. The Korean Cultural Center Shanghai and the Korea Creative Content Agency will be the guiding and implementing units responsible for the organization of Korean exhibitors.

The Yangtze River Delta is the region with the highest degree of openness and the most developed cultural industry in China. 2018 Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo held in Shanghai provided a window for sharing information, exchanging resources and building cooperation. 2019 Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo will focus on “professionalization, marketization and internationalization”, hoping to attract high-quality overseas cultural industry institutions and enterprises to participate in and share opportunities. The “Overseas Pavilion” will be one of the highlights of the expo. By displaying the latest achievements in the global cultural and creative industry, this area will promote cooperation and achieve win-win results between the Yangtze River Delta and cultural and creative industries from numerous countries and regions in the world. It will become a “bridge” for cultural trade, contributing to the prosperity of the industry.
